Cross Country
Cyclers!
Late last summer,
I was driving from Vermont to Maine across route 2 when I came
upon this group of friendly cross country cyclers! They
had ridden all the way from Washington State! When I found them,
they were just a few miles short of crossing the Presidential
Range near Gorham, New Hampshire. Lee Kayhart, a farmer
from Addison, Vt., lost both arms in a farming accident more
than 25 years ago. Now, he has completed a trip on his
high tech bike across the USA from Washington to Bar Harbor,
Maine. |
|
|

Lee Kayhart
was accompanied by his wife and friends Bob and Terri Rohde and
Rick Meyer! Assorted bikes used on the trip, include Lee's
bike named "Ruby", a very high tech bike imported from
Australia. |
